To keep me busy during wet weekends, like the one we’re having right now, I like to check out race tracks from around the world and pretend I’m driving them while I make broom vroom noises. A couple of weeks ago my neighbour was walking out the side of the house and overheard me. The laughter only ceased because she walked out of hearing range. I’ve been avoiding her ever since and getting quite good at it if I must admit.
I know there are those amongst you that drool at the prospect of racing your cars around the worlds best tracks. There are some brilliant locations in all corners of the planet but for most of us the reality is the vroom noises. So instead of helping you get over your desires to taste the best I thought I would add a bit of fuel to the fire by featuring the tracks. With each feature I will enlist the services of a local to share a few words about themselves, their car and their track. Coupled with some images and a bit of history on the track I hope to provide something entertaining and educational.
To see some published features check out the tracks category. At this very moment I have 6 features in various stages of completion for tracks from Australia, UK and the US. I’m always looking for more people from around the world to interview. From Germany to Japan, Egypt to Canada, Italy or even Argentina. If it has cars that go vroom and it puts grins on your faces I want to hear about it.
If you feel like you have something to share about your local track, you can get in touch with me via the contact form.
