About

From the daily commute to the local twisties to the local track. It’s all about the grins of a perfectly hit apex.

Those two sentences perfectly sum up the driving force behind this blog. My aim is to share a collection of random thoughts, observations, rants and general information tied to the subject of racing cars and the life experiences surrounding the culture.

The blog will focus on the spirited enjoyment of B roads through to club track days and exclude the professional end of racing. I have no intent on becoming a racing news feed and in any case, the professional level is vastly different to what I have grown up to know. I will provide a more practical and economically realistic approach with the content I share. It’s my passion and sharing odd bits of information, tips, tricks and sometimes poor advice is part of the trip. Not all of the content found here will be obviously useful and some of it is tongue in cheek. I will try to keep it as entertaining as possible while offering some form of informative and educational value.

Chicane Culture was started in December 2009.

I am always looking for people from around the world to interview in which I feature them and their local track. If you wish to participate, submit other suitable content or to contact me for feedback you may do so via the form found here.

A special thank you to Mike Flynn for allowing me to use his images for some of my banners. His photographic work is worth a look. Also thank you to all the other Flickr users who have generously donated their work for the odd post. There are credits below each image so please join me in thanking them by checking out their work.

Enjoy the tarmac and stay safe,

George
